Linking To An Affiliate Product - LinkShare.com

Logging In / Registering For LinkShare

This will show you how to create an affiliate link to a product on an affiliate's website.
             
For this example, we're going to be using LinkShare.com, and inserting Deep Links into our website. Deep Links are links that direct your site's visitors to a specific page on an advertiser's site rather than to the advertiser's homepage. They are links that go deeper into a site.

1. If you have a LinkShare account, enter your login information and click on 'Login'.

2. If you need to register an account, click on 'Publisher'.

Finding & Applying To An Advertiser

1. To browse all of the advertisers available, and the categories, click on 'Programs'.

2. You can also search for advertisers, for this example we're searching for 'skymall'.

3. When you've found an advertiser you like, click on the 'Apply' button. Some advertisers will instantly approve you, and some will manually improve you, which might take a couple days.

Selecting An Advertiser & Opening Their Website

1. Click on 'Links' at the top.

2. Click on 'Deep Linking'

3. Select your advertiser from the drop down, then click on 'Browse Advertiser Site'.

This will open up the advertiser's website in a new window so you can browse and find the page or product you want to link to.

Finding A Product To Sell & Copying The Website Address

1. Once you've found a product to sell, select the website address.

2. Right click and click 'Copy' to copy the website address.

After you've copied the website address you can go back into LinkShare.
 

Generating The Affiliate Link

1. Click on 'Multiple Links'. This allows you to enter multiple links in the box, to create up to 50 affiliate product links at once.

2. Past the website address you just copied. For this example we're just creating 1 link.

3. Click on 'Generate Link'. Your link(s) will appear underneath.

Copying The Link

1. Select the link you've just generated.

2. Right click and click 'Copy' to copy it.

Now we're ready to go back into Income Activator.

Returning To Income Activator

Back in Income Activator, create or edit a page to add your link to.


Linking Text To The Affiliate Product

I got the picture, title, and product description from Skymall's website. 
 
1. Select the text that you want to link.

2. Click on the 'Insert Link' button.

Linking Text To The Affiliate Product

1. Paste the link you copied earlier into this box by right clicking and clicking on 'Paste'.

2. Select 'New Window' from the Target: drop down. This will open your affiliate's website in a new window.

3. Click on the 'Ok' button and your text will be linked.

Saving & Previewing Our Link

1. Click on 'Save' or 'Save & Exit' to save your work.
 
2. Click on 'View' to view your live page with your affiliate link.

Testing Your Link

Now that your link is made, you should always test it!
