SEO Optimization / Site Checklist / Make sure you do this on every website:
Lee; some things we know, AND some additional things to consider.
In the Income Activator program, you have a place to put in your ‘site description’ – does that show up on just your own site, just in the Google directory search, or in both?
Since you’re doing a ‘site description’, you should also have a place for H1, and H2 tags.
You have a ‘site’ map, and you should also have a ‘video’ map.
·Make sure your site is ‘Norton Safe’.
·Target very specific keywords / long tail keywords, AND keywords that might indicate that the customer is looking to buy now.
·Getting to the top of the search engines is easier when you target less competitive keywords. The traffic may be lower, but if you use about 24 well targeted keywords (one per page) you can still bring in about 5 visitors per day, per keyword, that’s about 120 visitors per day and 3,600 per month.
Note: Product names and author names convert like crazy, since people know exactly what they are looking to buy.
·Make sure your keyword(s) or phrase appears in all of the following areas;
oURL or .com name. (ideally, but not critical)
oTitle of the page.
oH1 tag. (main heading – usually larger type and in bold)
oH2 tag. (sub heading)
oAlt image tag – basically labeling your picture or buttons with exactly what they are, i.e., a ‘search’ button, when you hover your mouse over it, it would say ‘search’, or a picture of a dog would say ‘dog’. (Ideally, you would like to use pictures that allow you to use your keywords for the description of the picture)
oMeta description; It tells you what your website is about.
oMeta keywords; is just your keywords. You should only have 1 per page ideally, or for example; dog bones, dog bones California (this is still technically just one keyword)
oKeyword density; top, middle and bottom of your page (bold / italic / color, etc.)
oInternal links; each page should have a link that goes to – home page, another page in your site that relates to this page and perhaps the site index page, or another page, such as an article that relates to this page. When you use an internal link, it should use the word(s) of the title of the page you are linking to, i.e., a page title that is ‘Dog Bones’, the link to this page should read ‘Dog Bones’.
oWebsite age is very important. The older the website is that links to you – the better.
§If your ‘home’ page is;https://www.incomeactivator.com/, and you have another page that says; Go back toHome PageWhen you hover over the link it says;https://www.incomeactivator.com/pages/874/Make-Money-Now.htmIt should ONLY say;https://www.incomeactivator.com/, which will then (according to Google) give you another ‘vote’ for a link to this page.
·If you want to rank well for a particular keyword or phrase (quickly), analyze the top 10 sites that come up for that keyword. Find out the following;
oDo the top 10 sites have the keywords you’re trying to rank well for in the above listed areas?
oMake sure that the top 10 sites have a PR (Page Rank) of 3 or below.
oMake sure that the back links associated with these sites have 1,000 or less links. To check this go to;http://www.yahoo.com/. Type in; link:(the URL of the site you are checking, i.e.;https://www.incomeactivator.com/) and then click ‘enter’. It will show you the total number of back links this site has, AND from whom, AND in the order of importance.
·Make sure you have a site map.
·Make sure you have a video map.
·Anchor text is the words used in the link.
·Comment / Respond on Wikepedia and include a link to your site.
·Get your vendors (if you have any) to link to your site.
·Submit articles / Ezine.com is by far the most popular. ArticleBase / ArticleDashboard.
A good place to get top quality articles written for you is;http://needanarticle.com/
You should also use;http://www.copyscape.com/to make sure that the articles you buy are not stolen, or copied content from another site.
·When trying to get a top ranking in Google, fill out the Google ‘map’ information page, so when your site comes up, you’ll be listed on Google’s map. Since most people don’t do this, Google will bring your site higher to the top of the rankings, i.e. if you’re in Laguna and a person who lives in Laguna searches for your keywords, Google will bring you higher up in the search results in order to show you on the map for a local search.
Other things that make a person give you their name and click the ‘submit’ button is to use blue text, give them a clear action, such as; “Click Here Now” and then underline the text. people have become subconsciously programmed to click on blue underlined text which is why this gets a higher click through rate than if the text was any other color, and not underlined. Another thing that really helps your click through rate is telling the visitor what they need to do…make it very clear: “For The Best Cocker Spaniel Health Tips…CLICK HERE NOW!” It’s obvious to everyone that they need to click on that banner to get the Health Tips.

SEO (Search engine optimization) is the process by where you are improving the 'visibility' of a website, or a website page within the framework of the search engines visa-vie the 'natural', or 'organic' search listings. These are commonly referred to as 'natural' or 'un-paid'.
In general, the higher on the page you are and the more frequently your site appears in the search results, the more visitors you will receive.
SEO takes three forms; 'on page' optimization, which are things that you do to your website, 'off page' optimization, which are things that you do to get traffic to your website, and 'inner page' optimization, which is how to rank well for the pages throughout your website.
