Adding Content & Links To Your Ebook

This help page will explain how to begin to create your eBook in Microsoft Word.
This will show you how to...
1.
Add an eBook title, and some of our own content.
2.
Add a link to our website.
3.
Insert an image onto our eBook cover.
4.
Add a link to an affiliate product or website.

For this example I've downloaded
Template 1
to my computer and opened in Microsoft Word.
Below is what the template's cover page looks like. We're going to add our own title and content to begin.
Adding Your Own Content
I've entered in my own title 'CarCarma', as well as the sub-title under that, author's name, and at the bottom some text that I will later link to an affiliate's website.
Adding Our Website

I've entered 'www.CarCarma.com' here, this automatically got converted to a link because of the www. and .com.
I'll later show you how you can link the text 'Free Astrology Readings'.
Adding A Picture
Now we're going to add a picture where the blue arrow is pointing.
Make sure your cursor is placed where you want your picture, or you can drag it to where you want later.
1.
Click on 'Insert' at the top of Word.
2.
Click on 'Picture' to open up the window to locate your picture.
Finding The Picture On Your Computer
1.
Once you've found the picture on your computer, click on it.
2.
Click the 'Insert' button.
Linking A Picture To A Website
Now that we've added our picture, we're going to link it to our website.
1.
Right click on the picture.
2.
Click on 'Hyperlink'.

Type in or paste the full website address you want to link to, in this case I've entered http://www.CarCarma.com.
2.
Click on 'Ok' to finish your link.
Now that our picture is linked, we're going to link some text to an affiliate website.
Linking Text To An Affiliate Product Or Website
We first need to get the website address of the affiliate website or product we want to link to.
In this example, its a website offering a free astrological reading, something related to our eBook.
1.
Select the website address.
2.
Right click, then click 'Copy' to copy it.
Linking Text To An Affiliate Website
Now back in Word, we're going to link this text under our picture that says 'Free Astrology Readings'
1.
Select the text you want to link, and right click it.
2.
Click on 'Hyperlink'.

1.
Paste the website address by right clicking in the 'Address' box and clicking on 'Paste'.
Confirm your affiliate link is correct.
2.
Click 'Ok'.
